Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Undergraduate (BS/BA) or Graduate (MS/MA) degree program in information technology or relevant field
- Available to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) internship for 12 weeks beginning May/June 2026
- Minimum 3.0 GPA; 3.5 or higher GPA preferred
- Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

Enterprise Data Science
- Data Engineering Intern: Focuses on building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using modern data architectures, tools, and technologies to support advanced analytics and business operations.
- Data Science Intern: Focuses on leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract insights, improve business processes, and solve complex insurance data problems.
Human Capital
- HRIS Analyst Intern: Focuses on Human Capital systems and programs optimization through process and improvement initiatives.
Marketing
- Web Designer Intern: Focuses on digital design projects, including website updates, marketing campaigns, and web graphics while building a professional portfolio.
- Social Media Intern: Focuses on creating, publishing and managing content across social media platforms with a concentration in brand campaigns, sponsorship, influencer activation and community engagement.

- Application Engineer Intern: Focuses on development and maintenance of all internal and external facing systems.
- Software Quality Engineering Intern: Focuses on development and maintenance of testing tools, frameworks, and reusable test script libraries.
- AI, Data & Automation Intern: Focuses on the AI, Data platform and Decision and Automaton development, maintenance, and testing.
Product
- Actuary Intern: Focuses on actuarial analysis and business forecasting through pricing, reserving and risk modeling.
- Personal Lines — California Intern: Focuses on California personal lines insurance product strategy through data-driven research, competitive analysis, and pricing support.
- Personal Lines — National Intern: Focuses on translating National personal lines insurance data into impactful business insights through competitive intelligence analytics, identification of opportunities and process recommendations.
- Research & Development Intern: Focuses on preparing and engineering data, conducting exploratory analyses, and assisting with modeling and segmentation efforts to enhance pricing precision and product differentiation.

Am I eligible to apply for a Mercury internship?
If you are considering an internship and are an undergraduate or graduate student attending a university program with an expected graduation date on or after August 2025 or planning to seek full-time employment between December 2026 and September 2027, you are eligible to apply.
Will I get paid as an intern?
Yes, all our interns are paid!
Is this a remote opportunity?
Yes, all internships are remote first with the ability to travel to office locations as needed.
What does a complete application look like?
Each job description outlines the minimum requirements for the role. Generally a complete application includes:
- A resume with visible graduation date (month/year)
- Undergraduate/Graduate transcripts with GPA
What is the deadline for applications?
Applications must be submitted through our careers site careers site no later than January 12, 2026 for consideration for the Summer 2026 Internship Program.
What does the selection process look like?
Mercury has designed our internship selection process into three (3) steps:
- Pre-screen with Talent Acquisition
- 1st Interview with a member of our Human Capital Business Partner Group
- Final Interview with Business Line Leaders
Following the interview process, if you are selected for the role, you will receive an offer, proposed start date and go through our pre-employment and onboarding process.
