We offer two plans: one for vehicles that still have some coverage from the manufacturer under the manufacturer’s basic warranty, and one for vehicles where the manufacturer’s basic warranty has expired.
If your vehicle qualifies for our Supreme Plan, you get our best coverage which typically covers ANY mechanical or electrical breakdown that isn’t specifically excluded.
If your vehicle qualifies for our Choice Plan, it covers many components within the following assemblies: engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, steering, brake, suspension, electrical, special electronics, fuel system, air conditioning, ignition and charging systems, engine cooling, and hybrid/electric.

Oh! Our legal team doesn’t like us to use the words “extended warranty,” because technically only the manufacturer can extend a warranty, and we’re not a manufacturer. Really, most of the vehicle service protection products you can buy can’t be called an “extended warranty,” even though that is a commonly used term. Depending on where you live, this program is either a vehicle service contract or a mechanical breakdown insurance policy.

Roadside assistance is included with each plan. If you need a tow, run out of gas, or lock your keys in your vehicle, just give us a call at (888) 833-1287and we’ll send help plus cover the cost up to $100. And don’t forget that your plan also includes reimbursement for a rental car or rideshare service while your vehicle is in the shop (for a covered repair) – up to $50 per day for up to 10 days!

We’d hate to see you go, but yes, you can cancel anytime.
If you purchase another vehicle, you can buy a plan for that vehicle, but we can’t transfer it from one vehicle to another.
In California, if you sell the covered vehicle to another individual, you may transfer your plan to the new owner provided your plan is paid in full at the time of transfer.
In all other states, the plan is also not transferable to another person.
Filing a claim is super easy! Simply have your chosen licensed service provider call our claims center (800) 654-8455 and we will handle the rest with them. We recommend repairs be performed by a franchise automobile dealer partly because some repairs may still be covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
We’re in it for the long haul no matter where you live. Unlike other companies that cut you off at a certain date or mileage, outside California you’re protected as long as you make your monthly payment.
California purchasers are offered an agreement that will be in force for a specified period of time or mileage, whichever comes first.

You can take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility. Vehicles still under the manufacturers’ warranty should be taken to a franchise dealer.
It’s very simple. You pay your selected deductible to the repair facility, and we pay them the difference for the covered repair cost if the covered repair cost exceeds the deductible. Repairs are expensive and they normally do exceed the deductible!
This is a one-time charge on the day of purchase. A small price of admission for continuous worry-free driving.
There is no enrollment fee for the plans offered in California.

The free-look period gives you the flexibility to purchase Mercury Protect today and cancel anytime within the next 30 days. If you do cancel during this period, you’ll get a full refund, including any enrollment fee you paid, as long as you have not filed a claim.
Yes! We cover parts and labor for all covered repairs.
Diagnostic charges are included for all covered repairs.
We understand that taking care of your vehicle is a priority for you. That's why we encourage you to maintain it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Remember, your maintenance records are your best friend! Even if you're a DIY enthusiast, just keep your receipts from any parts or materials purchases and note down the date and odometer reading when you do your own maintenance. Make sure you refer to your agreement for information regarding the maintenance of your car. If you ever need to make a claim, don't worry - our friendly claims department is here to assist you.
