Mercury Insurance, a proud employer of many veterans and numerous employees with family members who are currently serving in our Nation’s armed forces, joined the Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) to support military spouses who are looking to start a career helping others.
“We’re honored to be a part of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership. We know from experience that veterans and military families face challenges when it comes to employment, and we also know that they have a lot to offer, so this program is a perfect fit for Mercury,” said Heidi Sullivan, vice president, chief human capital officer at Mercury Insurance. “Our employees are the heart and soul of the company, and this partnership opens new doors for us to find talented individuals to join our family.”
Amy Lindberg, senior human capital manager at Mercury Insurance, represented the company at the 2019 MSEP Induction Ceremony and Partner Meetings in Arlington, Va., where she signed the MSEP Statement of Support – a commitment to increase employment opportunities for military spouses and, when possible, maintain those opportunities as they relocate. MSEP partners have hired more than 137,000 military spouses since it launched in 2011.
This partnership is the latest in Mercury’s long commitment of giving back to men and women actively serving in military and veterans, too. Mercury employees have assembled thousands of care packages for troops stationed overseas, helped build veteran homes with Habitat for Humanity and has also partnered with Disabled American Veterans’ California Chapter to provide reconditioned vehicles for veteran medical transport.
This partnership is the most recent way we continue to say “thank you” and support those who have sacrificed so much to protect our country and our freedom.
